The community is invited to support the library district effort by taking the Library Tattoo Challenge before Election Day on May 16, 2017.
To complete the Library Tattoo Challenge, follow these steps:
- Accept: Accept the challenge by getting a temporary library tattoo at any of the four branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, or Wolf Creek.
- Share: Share a selfie wearing the tattoo with the library via email or social media.
- Challenge: Participants who accept the challenge are encouraged to challenge at least three of their friends or family members to continue to raise awareness.
While waiting for photos to go viral, community members are encouraged to make a donation to the Keep Our Libraries Open Political Action Committee. Every photo, share, and dollar donated helps spread the word about Measure 17-79 for the formation of a library district in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek.
Keep Our Libraries Open is a registered Oregon political action committee. More information about the proposed library district can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions page. Anyone interested in getting involved with the library district effort can send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Those interested in donating can send a check or money order payable to “Keep Our Libraries Open” to 106 NW F St, #258, Grants Pass, OR 97526 or make a secure online donation.
The vote is May 16.
